About the Artist
Yuni Lee is a mixed media artist with a diverse art-making practice using mix-media, vibrant colors and collective patterns to demonstrate dimensional harmony of both earth and technology: She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree of Arts and Performance. She is also a graduate of Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing at the University of North Texas. She is committed to making art about expression, power and community. Her works shows the bright color-scrapes and the materials of mass-production mix their DNA with the forms and palettes dancing in the harmony of Korean impressions. She uses mixes color patterns, blending of materials to express different cultures and nature. Her large-scale paintings and installation works recycle elements of both contemporary and traditional visual culture. She has participated in numerous group and collaborative exhibitions in Texas including Dallas Art fair, Aspen Art Fair, Fort Worth Community Art Center and Greater Denton Art Council and most recently the competitive Recipient of Women & Their Work Award/Showcase.. She is currently a Lead Faculty professor for Foundations Program for the University of North Texas. Her work is represented by Ro2 Art Gallery in Dallas, and she currently is a recipient of 2023 Women & Their Work Award as well as being selected as Community Canvas, Coca Cola Southwest Beverages she currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
