Randall Garrett
Randall Garrett is a Dallas-based artist whose performance work combines elements of theatre, body art, spoken word, objects, artifacts, and time-based media. The artist choreographs and participates in ritual performances that explore aspects of individual and cultural identity.
Garrett is recipient of a 2016 City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs Cultural Vitality Program grant to co- organize the Freefall Festival, and currently teaches as full-time faculty at Richland College in Dallas.
In 2015, he organized “Seven”, an installation and performance by El Centro college students at Dallas City Hall as part of the City of Dallas Arts Week festivities. Garrett was owner / director of Plush Gallery from 2000-2012, and created “Seven Story Mountain”, a permanent sculpture on the banks of the Song Huong River in Hué, Vietnam in 2002.
