Moni Bell
Artist Statement Shadows and Common Ground are selections about peace and acceptance. The goal of these shadowinspired pieces are to awaken feelings that no one’s needs, wants or expectations of life are more important than another’s. Bodily Fluids No.11 and Strung Out and Wasted are continuations on works in my current exhibition in the Lillian Bradshaw Gallery, titled Time Along a Wasted Line. These two pieces expand on maintaining momentum toward dreams, evaluated next to mundane & uncontrollable ways creative time is lost. Addressing the detrimental excess of modern convenience, this assembly is rich in reused, recycled & repurposed materials, while staying true to the themes’ aesthetics. |
