"Throughout my life, I had always prioritized projects. Spending most of my time exploring creativity through new methods and skills from all sorts of things such as woodworking to performing live music with an indie band. I took to these outlets to learn more about myself and the life I wanted. When I discovered oil painting, something clicked. It felt right, and pure. Since then, it's been the joyride of my life."
In “Orange Still Life” Hanson describes a warm summer day by the pool by distilling the minutia of the event into its bare essentials. These key ingredients, isolated with a crisp white backdrop, are presented in clarity to be best appreciated for their own subtle complexities.
