Krista Chalkley
Krista Chalkley is a mixed media artist exploring the infinite facets and continually evolving nature of personal identity and human connection. Her work aims to delineate the essence of individualism by examining its development through experience, expression, and relation to others. Influenced by collage and its unique ability to create authenticity through a multiplicity of different and yet simultaneous things, her process often reflects the honest complexity of life.
A Dallas native, Chalkley received her BA in Visual Arts from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2018. In addition to being an artist, she has gone on to pursue a career in arts administration, working and volunteering for several museums and galleries in Dallas - to which she attributes much of her artistic growth. Since graduating, her work has been exhibited locally in venues such as Ex Ovo, Artspace111, and 500X Gallery.
