Josh Banks

Joshua Banks is a Denton based artist who received his bachelor of fine arts in printmaking at the University of North Texas. He mainly works in the medium of relief prints, screen prints, and drawings. His work has been shown in: Baton Rouge Louisiana, Lincoln Nebraska, and several exhibitions throughout Texas. Also, several private collectors in Texas own his work. He was the president of the Printmaking Association of North Texas Students, and organizes group shows and print sales for the club.

About his work, the artist states, “by juxtaposing characters with objects and environments, I create the narrative of a weird, deceptive world where the vanity of man is fragile, and, in the midst of the chaos of the absurd, Man’s self glorifying delusions become explicit. I use printmaking as a primary medium to share my ideas with as many people as possible and for its unique graphic qualities.”
