John Gonzales
John Gonzales graduated from the Art Institute of Dallas in 2006 and continues to work as a freelance artist creating concept art, 3D models and illustrations, in addition to his professional gallery work. His work consists of multi-dimensional portraiture with ambivalent underlying meanings.
In addition to a solo show by the Magnolia Gallery, he has showed in several group exhibitions including the Kettle Gallery and The Art Conspiracy, emerging as a strong up-and-coming artist.
For 6 Arms to Hold You, John has expanded on the ideas of security, love and the stability that comes with six arms holding by inviting restrictions and releasing to be held, through the use of suggestive and thought provoking imagery.
Each painting stands alone, as well as completes a body of work.
Each painting tells a story.
Each painting will hold you with the power of 6 arms.
