About the Artist
Hanna Kratsman Robles was born in Trullijo Puerto Rico to a Puerto Rican mother and an Argentinian father. Hanna and her mother moved to Dallas Texas when she was twelve years old. She completed her BFA at the University of North Texas. She is now an IB Visual Arts teacher in Fort Worth. During her time as a teacher, she has completed two residencies which allowed her to connect with artists abroad and bring unique perspectives into her artwork and the classroom. As an artist, Hanna uses her artwork to explore her multicultural identity by depicting still shots of her quiet life in her Fort Worth apartment and focusing on bright colors inspired by her Caribbean home.

Windows and Poemas is a collimation of poems that exist in a combination of three languages, English, Spanish, and Color. These poems show the juxtaposition of peaceful bodies and restless minds who let their thoughts wander in times of rest. Poems are written without the barrier of language, words and colors were allowed to flow outside the canvas to attempt to portray usually multifaceted truths. Hanna welcomes viewers to read and view her poems with an open interpretation and no need for translation.
