Cassandra Alvarado-Oliphint

Cassandra Alvarado Oliphint is a painter living and working in Fort Worth, Texas. Cassandra primarily works in oils and acrylic on canvas. Originally trained in the theatre, Cassandra was inspired to pursue painting by artist Dominique Boisjoli in Montreal. She subsequently studied art at Texas Christian University where she was awarded a Nordan Fine Arts Scholarship. However, as a single young Mother, she was obliged to discontinue her art education to pursue steady employment.

After years of sporadic painting, while raising a family, Cassandra recommitted herself to painting everyday in August of 2017. Her deeply resonant colors, forms, and images continue to evolve as she puts in the work.
