Anya Boz is a Fort Worth based artist that is most well known for her art dolls called room guardians. Room guardians are little creatures that each contain a crystal heart and protect the room from evil spirits. She is a self-taught freelance artist with no formal schooling. She has been making her room guardians full time since 2014 and exhibits most of her work online through social media. One of her most well known room guardians (The Persian Cat Room Guardian) was the subject of a viral reaction meme in 2016. Most often working in doll making, she still frequently delves into costumery, painting, and ink illustration as well as stop motion animation featuring her room guardians.
