Originally from Southern California, Mike Kury currently lives and has a working studio north of Dallas. Mike uses various mediums such as bronze, cast paper, metal, plasters, resins and rubber to create his figurative, surreal, social and pop art sculptures.

He is a member of SMAACC, the Texas Sculpture Association, Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi and Ghost Town Art Collective. He has shown in several gallery, invitational and group shows.

Mike’s current work is based on the female form, and to present this form in new ways as minimal, modern sculpture.

In experimenting with traditionally industrial materials the mix of industrialism, surrealism and classicism result in works that are visually sensual, with strong design and clean lines in a contemporary minimal style.
