Ro2 Art is proud to present Linda Dee Guy: Re-Orient. The opening reception will take place Saturday, September 24 from 7 to 10pm, and will run through October 22, 2011. The exhibition will take place at Ro2 Art Uptown at West Village, located at 3699 McKinney Avenue, Suite 310, in the Uptown area of Dallas.
For Re-Orient, Linda Dee Guy will present works as a human scale assemblage, layered from archival inkjet prints, drawings, photographs and screenprints.
About Linda Dee Guy
I am a collagist and lately like to think of myself as a “design anthropologist”, if there were such a profession.
The conceptual direction that I take in Re-Orient, is to combine an inclusive collection of various historical patterns with self-originated elements. Hopefully, the result crosses over into a contemporary perspective embracing both the past and the present, erasing some boundaries assigned between high and low art.

Linda Guy has been a Professor of art at Texas Christian University since 1976. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and an MFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. She teaches Lithography, Screenprinting, Digital Printmaking and Mixed Media. Linda Dee Guy's work has been included in over 75 group shows, a dozen solo exhibitions, and four invitational international exhibitions in Nagaoka, Japan, and Lima, Peru.
