Chris Bramel holds a degree in studio art with a concentration on photography from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas, where he currently resides. At 23, Chris has been featured in several exhibitions in the North Texas area, a solo show in Houston, and has exhibited in New York.
Artist Statement
I draw inspiration from Jerry Uelsmann, René Magritte, Cindy Sherman, and most of all, from my teachers.
My current interest in photography lies in panoramic landscapes and cityscapes. Becoming fixated on showing a whole scene and sometimes taking a cinematic approach to photographing a site, I focus my work on a larger scale than just certain details within a frame.
