Ro2 Art is proud to present Jason Reynaga: Bling Thing along with a group of works by Ro2 Gallery Artists. The opening reception will take place Saturday, October 29 from 7 to 10pm, and will run through November 27, 2011. The exhibition will take place at Ro2 Art Uptown at West Village, located at 3699 McKinney Avenue, Suite 310, in the Uptown area of Dallas.
For Bling Thing, Jason Reynaga will present beautiful, color-rich works created with a diverse mix of multidimensional surfaces and materials, reflecting the artist's escapist love for comic book, video game, toy and movie culture,.
About Jason Reynaga
Jason Reynaga graduated with a Masters of Fine Art in Printmaking from Texas Christian University in 2006, after which he began teaching art at Wade College in Dallas, Texas, where he is currently serving as Art Department Chair and Director of the school's Design Division. In 2010, Jason Reynaga presented a solo show Bling Bang at The Dallas Contemporary. He has also been included in several prestigious juried exhibitions, including the 500X Annual, Art in The Metroplex, and Wish Auction at The Dallas Contemporary. He has also been featured in articles in ARTLIES, Fort Worth Star Telegram, FW Weekly, Dallas Observer, and Paper City.
As an artist, Reynaga's focus remains conceptually motivated with an interdisciplinary approach to a diverse combination of two and three-dimensional media and disciplines. The current work explores an increasingly dangerous and unstable world that is affected, informed, entertained, and fueled by a technologically driven global popular culture.
